How to answer?

Hi,

If the question is : Who is the principal of the school?

The answer is

A. The principal of the school is XXX.

or

B. XXX is the principal of the school.

Which of A or B is correct in grammar?

A. The principal of the school is ***.

B. *** is the principal of the school.


Both versions are grammatically correct.
The first version is the more common way to reply.
But I wouldn't hesitate to use the second.
If this is a written reply, I'd use the first.
If it's a casual conversation,

Hi, I agree with Avangi. Both are written style. I prefer A in writing and a simple "***" in oral speaking.
