How to address a president in a speech?

Hi all!

What would be the correct way to address a president a country in a speech? Let's say it is the president of France.. Do I just say: "Mr. president, your excellencies (referring to ambassadors) I would like to thank you for...." or what would be the correct way to address the president?

'Your excellency, the president of France' does not seem right..

For oral presentations, the address is not easily determined. It depends upon the style used by that country. "Your Excellency" is common for foreign presidents.
