How / the way - where / the place - etc.

Hi,

How you pronounce words depends on your accent.
The way you pronounce words depends on your accent.

Is there a difference? I think they are the same, it's just that the first sounds more generic... The first tries to answer a question, the second just refers to "the way" to describe it...

What do you think? Thanks Emotion: smile

Either choice would be correct. The difference between "how" and "the way" would involve just personal choice--at least for most American English speakers.
