How Reliable are IMDB Credit Lists?
A case study on how the internet movie database often provides negligently incomplete info. I tried to update it, but it was way way too finicky and user-unfriendly to do so.
Do IMDB personnel actually ever do updating themselves? It's really takes a lot of digging to email them and say, "Hey, you forgot a whole truckload of someone's credits. Here are several websites documenting that these shows have been broadcast for several seasons. Why don't you phone CBC and Life Network to get the info you need, and add them?" What does IMDB actually do with the Imdb Pro money and advertising revenue that they've harvested?
