How much/many percent is left?

My son just asked me, "How many percent do you have left on your iPhone, Dad, because I need the charger?"

My question: I believe that it should be "How much percent is left ... ?"

Thank you.

"My question: I believe that it should be "How much percent is left ... "Thank you. Neither of the above sounds natural, even if the remaining charge is expressed as a percentage.

Say something like 'How much charge is left on your iphone?'

In my opinion. both are wrong, we only use the word percent with a number. it should be "what is the battery percentage on your phone?
