How mood betrayed by music

I'm listening to a voice record about the relationship between music and mood and in one part of it, it says:

"it helps us understand how mood betrayed by music". what does this sentence mean (especially the verb)?

Thank you.

That phrase is ungrammatical as it stands. " "Betray" normally is used pejoratively, as when a traitor betrays his country, but it can also impassively mean "reveal inadvertantly". You can hear the sorrow or joy in a melody.

That phrase is ungrammatical as it stands. It might be a sentence like "It helps us understand how mood is betrayed by music," There might be something after, for example, ""It helps us understand how mood betrayed by music enters our souls."
