How many offspring does a cat usually have?

Hi

Do you find this sentence natural? Which other word could I possibly substitute for "offspring"?

How many offspring does a cat usually have?

Thanks,

'Young' would do fine or, if you want to be specific, 'kittens'. And yes, the sentence sounds natural. Michal

I think 'cat' makes it very specific. I'd use 'kittens'.
