Has the person also interviewed people when s/he was NOT a journalist? That's what it sounds like if you attach that fronted phrase.

Here, the questioner wants to know how many poeple the answerer has interviewed so far as a journalist, not a manager or boss. You know, he or she might have some experience of inverviewing people not as a journalist. That's the thought that I'd like to convey. Does it sound unnatural or wrong?
