How long does it normally take for a post to appear here?

If your post does not go through moderation, it appears pretty much the same time it is posted. If it goes through moderation, it can take an hour or so for a volunteer moderator to approve it. Now, concerning the time for a reply to appear, that is a completely different kettle of fish!
