How is your work going? she had been/she was

How is your work/job going?
I know/knew you were busy with your job/work.
When I saw her she had been getting board the train.
When I saw her she was getting board the train.

Please correct my sentence and suggest me better versions too. Thanks in advance

I know/knew you were busy with your job/work.

When I saw her she had been getting board the train.

When I saw her she was getting on board the train.

How's your job going?

I know you're busy at work, but... (the person has a job, and you are ringing them at work.)
and
I know you're busy working, but...(the person is busy doing work of his own, such as finishing an assignment for college.)

I knew you were busy ...(the Past tense versions of the above)

When I saw her,(COMMA)

But I'm little confused now.
Do you mean it is incorrect to say "I know you were busy"?
Also, I'm not sure about the sentence "When I saw her, she had been getting on board the train". Clive told this sentence was wrong but according to Terry it's correct. Even if it's correct, I wonder what would be the difference in meaning between "she was getting
