How is your schedule looking...?

Hi,

A native speaker said something like this to me: How is your schedule looking for a beer?

I kind of figured that he wants to go out for a beer and wants to know when I am available, but I didn’t remember the exact expression he used.

Is that expression correct? Also does it mean the schedule right now or some time in the future?

Thanks,

MG.
