How is your job going/ how are you doing with your job

Hi,

When I see a person after a long time, I first ask "How are you", then "how is your job going " or "how are you doing with your job".

I wonder whether these are correct. Please confirm.

They both seem wrong to me (they're not idiomatic). I'd simply ask 'How's work (going)?'.

I'd hesitate to call them ungrammatical. However, the second one sounds slightly unnatural. Also, the word "job" is normally used with an adjective when inquiring this way. For example, "Hey! How's your new job going (on)?"

My second question wouldn't be about work. I'd probably say eg What have you been doing?
Anything interesting?
