How is VS How about

I am shopping with my wife. My wife is trying to buy clothes for my daughter.
In front of the cloth self, I ask my wife about her opinion.

[1] What do you think about this cloth?
[2] How is this cloth?
[3] How about this cloth?

I think [1] is okay but I'm not sure whether [2] and [3] can be both okay.
Could you teach me for it?
Thanks in advance.
