How is this part of a paragraph?

Here is the part:

" Along with how the field plate armor wearer would do when it came to running in a battlefield"

Is the "in" in that part incorrect?

when it came to running in a battlefield" = when the person runs (walks very fast) in a battlefield. when it came to running a battlefield" = when a person controls or is in charge of the (people in a) battlefield. Hope that helps.

There are a few things I would change in your sentence, but I'm not sure what the meaning or intention is exactly so I can't give you good advice right now, as it's written - but on the question of the use of 'in', it changes the meaning in this way:

"...when it came to running in a battlefield" = when the person runs (walks very fast) in a battlefield.

Should I have an on in place of "in"?

If the person is running (walking fast) on the battlefield, that would be fine too:)
