How is the project going?

I'd like to ask one of my collages abut the status of project and use "How is the project going?"

However my collage may have no idea which project I'm talking about because he're taking care of a lot of projects.

Therefore I have to specify which one I'm talking about like below

" How is the project I requested you last week going?"

Does above sentence sound natural? Since "going" is apart from the long subject, I feel it doesn't sound right.

BTW, I know I can also ask like "What's the status of the project I requested you last week? "

Please advise me. Thanks!

" How is the project I requested you last week going?" This is incorrect English. You don't request someone a project. Say eg How is the project I asked you about last week going?

But it is more natural to say eg How is the XYZ project going? Instead of XYZ, say something short that identifies the project. eg How is the Accounts Payable project going?
