How is my accent?

Top answer

Iohanan, I listened to your video. Your accent is not too strong, but I would say that your pronunciation of 'mid tones' and 'mids' sounds more like 'meeds'. I noticed that you pronounce 'give' well, so you won't have any trouble if you remember to focus on the short 'i' sound.

I agree with yvWordsmith's comment about your pronunciation of 'mids' as 'meeds'. You also said, "low down" twice. You said, "I low down the shadows". The word 'lowdown' has a different meaning than that which you were t

Your accent is minimal. I'm from the Midwest. There is no such thing as a "pure" accent in the US (in a democratic society we would reject such a silly characterization of our rich speech patterns), but the Midwest is not a bad guide because we're in the middle and thus affected by all the accents around us.
