How is EAL taught? and How to self-study it?

I just found EAL textbook but I would like to know what is taught in EAL (English as a Additional Language) course, in terms of grammar.

Is it enough to spend 1 hour per day for EAL? and the rest is for Academic subjects such as Literature, English, Math, History, Biology, etc....

mosja I just found EAL textbook but I would like to know what is taught in EAL (English as a Additional Language) course, in terms of grammar. EAL is typically applied to those who already speak more than one language before they begin to study English. Thus English is an additional language for them.
