Are my senteces correct and carry about the same meaning?

LiveinjapanThe sentence the teacher said is what I expected to hear. I've never heard this, LiJ. One reads a sentence or recites a sentence or repeats a sentence. One doesn't say a sentence. Don't ask me why.
