How far...

Hi,

I am not sure I these sentneces are natural to a native speaker. If not please suggest some alternatives.

1. How far is your promotion review? - Here I am expecting the other person to tell me a time period, for example, 2 years.

2. Looks like your watch is coming in your way when you are trying to reach the switch. I am not sure if 'coming in your way' is right for a small thing like a watch.
