How does this sound to you?

Hi,

'Thrust of MBD utilization for automotive development.'

I googled and found out it should be more like 'Promotion of MBD utilization - '.

Using 'thrust' in the sentense like this is common for native speakers?

I see no evidence that the two phrases you have presented refer to the same context or intent. Both 'promotion' and 'thrust' are good words when used appropriately, but your sentence fragment (it is not a sentence) does not make clear which might or should be used.
