An accountant has one of the most important roles in any business, whether it's a large corporation or a small business.

In order to become an accountant in Viet Nam, people have to undergo a long training and education process. First, they will be trained about accounting via the curriculum in a university that accounting or auditing is one of their major education, such as Foreign Trade University and Ho Chi Minh economy university. Therefore, if people want to be an accountant they have to have a definitive orientation since they were in high school, which can help them to have a suitable investment for the entrance examination. After armed with a solid foundation in accounting including recognition, classification, summary, report about business transactions and interpretation their effects on the affairs of the business entity. Graduated students have to be trained about regulations,laws and ethics that are necessary to become an accountant. As a result, they can work as an accountant for any company.

However, University is not an only road to be an accountant. After finished the education program in high school. People can choose a training center about accounting like An Tam center or GEC center that train their students about all knowledge and skills that enable them to work as an accountant. Although the career path of those people is more difficult than those who have a university degree, they are able to become an excellent accountant if they have an incessant efforts and an enquiring mind.
