How does it sound?
I'm translating a text about nomads. Can you correct the things that sound odd to you, please?

But in the evening, when they stopped for an overnight stay and Chiledu told her to make dinner, at once, in a flash, she realized the profound change in her life, she understood that she had left her native nutug - the place where her tribe roamed - neither for a day, nor for two days, but forever.
