How does he know whodunit??

0 A cop was walking past a restaurant when he heard someone scream - "No John, not the gun!" He ran inside and saw a doctor, a lawyer, a milkman, and a dead body on the floor. He promptly walked over to the milkman and arrested him. He didn't witness the shooting and there was no apparent evidence to prove who shot the person and no one told him who the killer was. How did the policeman instantly know it was the milkman? 0-

from a policeman's point of view there are several ways to tell,

one is that police are taught to "read" a suspect.

two, the police knew all three people and their names and the milkman was named John.

three, the most obvious, the milkman was holding the gun.

there are several more but i won't elaborate

1) The doctor wouldn't have done it, as murder violates the Hippocratic Oath.

2) The lawyer knows it would be collosally stupid to murder someone, and would be very unlikely to kill someone.

3) The milkman, bound by no social or legal restriction, would be most likely to kill someone.
