Speech & Pronunciation

How do you usually say "from... to..."?

What kind of intonation do you use when you say "from.. to.."?
I usually hear native speakers using the rising staircase tone when sayng "from something" then using the falling staircase tone when saying "to something". So they go up when they say "from" but go down when say "to".
However, when this intonation applied to a sentence, it sounds unnatural.

For example:
I answered many questions. From "Why isn't it correct to do that?", to "How can I do it wrong?".

How do you pronounce this sentence? I mean, the intonation, do you use the rising tone in 'from' and use falling tone in 'down'? Because the 'to' is 'to' a sentence(a question), not 'to' a noun, I find it hard to say it naturally.

I recorded my Chinese accent way to say this "from..to.." sentence there. Could you please help me to correct my intonation? I just don't know how to say it right. However I practice, my intonation is still weird. How to pronounce it correctly?

Your browser does not properly support audio yet. Listen: [ogg] or [mp3] Your intonation sounds fine to me, I understand the construction you are using. I recorded your sentence if you want a California cadence, but I don't think you need it.
