How do you use the slang "lose one's s**t"?

1. For a start, What does the slang "lose one's s**t" actually mean? I have looked up the dictionary, it seems it can mean "lose nerve" "be less confident" "mental breakdown" "freak out" 'angry'. So generally what does it mean?

2. How do you use the slang? I know it is vulgar but can you come up with some situations where I can use it?

Thank you.

I haven't heard it myself. I don't suppose anyone over 35 years of age uses it. term=Lose+Your + Apparently the censor removes the last word, so you'll have to enter the full expression in Urban Dictionary once the link takes you that far.

zuotengdazuoTo me, it means "lose it" "freak out". But I've just know it can also mean "To lose control of one's mental faculties" recently.
"To lose control of one's mental faculties" is the same as "lose it" or "freak out". It's just a more formal way of describing the same thing.
zuotengdazuoI don't quite understand this definition,
