How do you think? should I introduce myself at the beginnin?
Hi! I am going to send my cover letter to the University. But the Letter begins with :
Dear Sir / Madam,
My name is J.Y........
in one post I've read that it's bad to begin this type of letter with My name is J.Y........ but I think it's quite good to introduce yourself at the beginnin! What do you think?

In my opinion, it's not the natural or traditional way to do it.
The reader is interested in what you have to say, not what your name is. If he needs your name, he knows where to find it.
