How do you say this in English?

Hi everyone

Could anyone correct these sentences for me? How would a native speaker say this?

The amount of money my wife paid for her latest haircut was enough for me to have haircuts for 5 years.

The money my wife spent on her latest haircut was equivalent to what I spend on haircuts over a span of 5 years.

What my wife spent on her latest haircut is my 5 years' worth of haircuts. ( This one is definitely weird to me.)

...... Any other alternatives?

Thanks!

Those are okay. " It would be a bit less awkward like this: What my wife spent on her last haircut would pay for 5 years' worth of haircuts for me. I think I would word it like this, though: My wife paid as much for 1 haircut as I would pay for 5 years' worth of haircuts.

  • Those are okay.

  • I hope this helps.

Here are a couple of variations:

I could get five years (worth) of haircuts for what my wife paid for her latest one.

I could get haircuts for five years for what my wife just paid for one.
