How do you pronounce "school"?
Hi there.
I am an English teacher in China. For my last lesson I taught my students the word school. I pronounce it like (sku:l). However after the lesson my Chinese college said that I should have pronounce it like (sgu:l).
I am not a native English speaker and I am not sure what to do because I have checked the Cambridge dictionary (it says the pronunciation is (sku:l)). I also checked the Forvo app and for me the sound is (k) not (g).
I am really confused because my Chinese college says that the sound is (g) not (k).
How do you pronounce the word?
