How do YOU pronounce Meme

Native speakers? How do you / would you pronounce:

MEME

The strange thing is, due to the world today, many words are in constant use but never spoken out loud.. This might well be one of them.

For me it's always been 'meem' (team, as in video below) -- though I hear some say 'me me' or the same with a short 'e' (mimi)

"Mem" (with a long e) is how I have pronounced "meme."

"meme" was selected to sound like "gene", so it's a one-syllable word that rhymes with "teem", which is how I heard it on the U-tube clip. I've never heard any other pronunciation. I didn't know there was another pronunciation in use.

Quite extensively, due to the new usage of the word - originally in internet sub-culture now becoming mainstream.

Probably better described as; "Meme", as in "Theme".
