How do you phrase the following?

The $200 extra I make a month now will pay for the new car I just bought.

How do you write this? I already bought the car so it isn't going to pay for it. The money is going to replace the money spent on the car.

If you paid cash for your car, you're right. However, if you took out a car loan, that money will be used to pay the loan. Even if you did pay cash for your car, it will replace the savings used to buy the car.
