How do you list questions in an essay?

I am trying to write a semi-formal essay. I am trying to list out questions in an essay.

Take this sentence for example:

After I met Shelly, I began to question myself: Who am I?, Why do I exist?, What is life?

How would I write a sentence like this, which includes listing some questions, in a grammatically correct sentence?

Thanks.

Hi, I think your version is correct:

"After I met Shelly, I began to question myself: Who am I?, Why do I exist?, What is life?" Colon looks natural here, however, I would remove commas after each question remaining it this way "After I met Shelly, I began to question myself: Who am I? Why do I exist? W
