How do you hyphenate a compound proper noun?

I'd like to confirm that the following hyphen usage is correct: U. S. Supreme Court-ruled creative champion (this is for a resume).

When do you hyphenate a whole phrase, and when do you hyphenate the last word of a compound proper noun?

In my experience, good writers try to avoid doing that. It often results in ugly English. Instead, you could say eg Ruled creative champion by U.
