How do you conver linking-verbed simple and simple progresseive tenses?

Before I proceed on to my original questions, how do you even construct linking-verbed simple progressives?

1. The speech was short. --> (What is the progressive form?)

Then How would you convert these sentences into a passive state?

Another example would be:

1. I feel happy (Happiness is felt by me?)

2. I am feeling happy. (Happiness is being felt by me?)

In theory your passive suggestions are correct. In practice I cannot imagine them ever being produced
