How do you chat with people from different religions when mentioning the details of faith?

For example, if a buddhist starts a quote of his reincarnated lifes, but you're a christian, and he doesn't intend to stop it, how do you continue to talk about it?

No, I'm not. I mean someone persist on discussing some details of his faith, which is fairly different from mine. He wouldn't like to change the topic before it reaches a consensus to some degree.
