How do you ask these questions in British English?

1. If you want someone to hold something for you and you'll be back and pick it.

2. When you would like to know what postage (Royal mail, DHL) will your seller use to deliver your ordered item.

3. When you wanna buy something and there are two days until you get a salary from your boss and you'd like to ask the seller to hold that item for you.

How should I ask them? Listing your answer here is very much appreciated.
