How do you ask about an uniform (eg for the navy, or starbucks) is it "How is the uniform", or "What is the uniform"

Exactly what I wanted to know. Thank you very much for explaining the difference, in spanish you use both to ask about the components of an uniform, but mostly the equivalent of How=Cómo "Cómo es el uniforme?" and using what=cuál "Cuál es el uniforme?"
