Hi, My question is as title. Can "kind of " be followed by both singular noun and plural noun? For instance: I like this kind of desserts.= I like this kind of dessert. Right? Here is another relative question. If I say, " What kind of ____ (book; books)do you like best?" The answer is "book" not "books," why?
