How do we know whether a name is proper name?

0I do know that literally you can distinguish whether a name is the proper name or not by its capitalization (s). OK, but in real life and in everyday situation for ordinary folks out there, how can they know whether to make it a name or a proper name? Do we have to surmise from how it is written publically and/or being referred to publically?02br

10Yes, you are right. For example, "Victoria station" commonly refers to a National Rail and London Underground station in London, but "Victoria Station" in AmE refers to a restaurant chain
