How do I take out the word That?

Hello, I notices I've a tendency to use the word "that." I wrote the
following sentence can you show how to rewrite the sentence without using the
word "That."

I had grown a long fuzzy brown beard that curled at the end.

Its true, in the English language we use "that" a lot. If its grammatically correct there is no reason to change it. However if your looking for other words to replace it; such your example:
