How do i say this?

hi, everybody!

Is it correct to say, "Remember to hang the laundry on the line when the machine wash is finished."?

I feel that the last part "when the machine wash is finished." sounds odd. But I don't know how to say it in more common and natural way. Can anyone help?

Thank you!

It sounds odd because the listener will already be aware of the nature and process. Use this: Remember to hang the laundry on the line when the washing's finished.
