Vocabulary

How do I respond a person when he tells me something?

For example,
Me: "What company are you working for?"
John: "I work for Microsoft."
Me: "OK, [I've known it]."
The contents in [] is awkward. How do I say in [] to express that after he tells me I know it (but I don't know it before he tells me). Thanks in advance!

You could say eg OK, I see or eg OK or eg just not say anything If he tells you, then he knows that now you know, so you don't have to tell him that you know. Clive

Now I know.

We don't usually say this, though.

In another vein: I think I knew that. I should have known that. I could have guessed that. [ All depending on the intended meaning ]
