How do i make these sounds

Can someone help me, Im not able to make the ch sound in church or which, or dg sound in judge without slurring the the words and the sound really slushy. Where is my tongue suppose to be during these sounds and any other advice you have is great.

Your tongue tip should start pressed against the back of the alveolar ridge and be flipped toward the front of the mouth upon utterance. But I don't what you mean by 'slurring'. That rather describes the proper sound for me.

"ch" is a "t" plus a "sh". You should start making the "ch" the same way you make a "t".
"dg" (or "j") is a "d" plus a "zh". It the voiced counterpart of "ch". Start as if it were a "d".

If you are using apical articulations, yes, you would have problems with smoothness. So, try laminal versions. Produce t, d, sh and zh laminally, you will get that smoothness. In fact, it is one way of getting right articulatory settings (placement).

Last quarter I was analyzing Southern Proto Dravidian language and found that the "d" "t" were bunched up behind the alveolar ridge. Mister Micawber are you a Linguist? I was wondering if you are familiar with using PRAAT software that enables one to take a recording of a word which measures the onset, nucleus, and coda of words. If so, do you know how to get the harmonic-to-noise ratio on voice
