I want to be an actress but the travelling is hard for me, since I am only 15. However, the place where Eastenders is filmed is quite close to me, so I'd like to be an extra on the show, even though I've never really been interested in any Soaps.
It would help my audition if I could do the accent in case I do get a few lines. I've self-taught a Standard American-Canadian accent, a Newcastle/Liverpudlean/Mancunian (basically "up north of England") accent and an Australian one. Unfortunately, they won't need those.
So, any tips on how to learn the Eastenders accent and does it have a recognised name (like Cockney or something)? Any (free) online videos that show you how to do it (besides the Eastenders episodes) would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! :-)
