How do I express this correctly in English?

"Thanks for the Saturday invitation." ---> is it correct to put Saturday here to describe the invitation? My friend invite me to visit her house on this saturday. If not, how do I say this?

And please correct my grammar:

"We planned to spend a whole day there with you guys, playing cards and have some fun together. However, a friend of mine from Canada just back for a short vacation and dated with us for a gathering on the same day. Since she's not staying for long and we've no choice to alter the date. So. we are afraid that we are not able to have dinner with you together on that day and only be available some time in the afternoon. Hope this won't spoil much of your mood. We'll see you soon."

Thank you!
