How do I describe past events in the present day? I get confused with the mix of present and past tense in such sentences.

In the most usual situations, the verbs in the present tense are about actions or states in present time; the verbs in the past tense are about actions or states in past time. The following sentences have both tenses. Let us know what you don't understand about them
