How do Americans pronounce the final A?

I came across a comment that was asking if all English people pronouce any word that ends in "A" with "er" like "Pizz-er".

So, my question is...How do Americans usually pronounce the final A then?

Almost all Americans pronounce final 'a' as an 'a', not as 'er'; however, Americans in some regions (e.g., Boston) pronounce it as 'er'.
