how disapointments can be good

Throughout my life I have faced many major and minor disappointments, but I assume that the most practical was when I decided not to care about my grades. Of course, I received consequences and had my privileges taken away. That taught me not to do it again.
When I was in the 6th grade my grades started to suffer. I wasn’t considering my grades like I should have been doing. When it was time for the progress report, it was then that my parents found out about my grades and they immediately scolded me and that straightened my act forever. One thing that I have learned is that I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to be in the magnet program in high school. I have had good grades all my life and I didn’t want to lose that. I was very thrilled when I found out that I was nominated to be National Junior Honor Society in middle school and so were my parents. Knowing that my parents were proud of me felt great. If my parents would have never discovered this and I had not changed my attitude towards my studies, I would not be where I am today. Disappointments can be good because they can teach you a life lesson and change you forever.
In conclusion, I learned that disappointments are good sometimes and are not always unfortunate. I also learned to give myself time to meet my deadlines and I have to learn to have patience and ask for help when I feel overwhelmed. I have many goals that I want to accomplish and that is going to take a lot of concentration on my part. I also have learned to talk to my parents about my troubles in school. I know they only want what is best for me and my future.
