How did you make him as a suspect?

Hi teachers~

Q1.

I've come across this expression on a crime TV show.

A detective arrives at a crime scene, and asks a police officer a police officer.

"How did you make him as a suspect?"

I can guess what it means, but I am wondering if this is common.

I would say "What makes you think he is a suspect?"

Q2. I am wondering if these 3 sentences are common.

"What's your take on this?"

"What did you make of it?"

"Where do you come down on it?"

They sound like business expressions, which I've never heard of.

Thank you in advance~~
