The Enlightenment in America is going off the European Enlightenment with some different qualities in mind. With Europeans and Americans Enlighteners copying eachother for ieads to make the counties better for the people. The documents of the United States of America, has Enlightenment ideology within them from all the Enlighteners from Europe and America. The Declatation of Independence has some key facts in it from Euroeans Enlighteners, such has John Locke. He is famous for,"life, liberty, and poverty," and in the Declaration of Independence is,"life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." The philosopher Francois Marie Arouet (Voltaire) had read John Locke's works in exile and hada part in the Declaration. Voltaire and Ben Franklin have the same ideas about the world, in two different countries. Thomas Jefferson, who wrote the Declaration of Independence, was intelligent man to do all the accomplishments in his life for the United States and for making it better for the future generations sfter him. The Congress took out multiple sentences and added sentences to make it more better and less arguable with everyone, but to reading it now is it should have been kept in there. The Declaration of Independence is not the only United States of America document which the Enlightenment as reflecte in and is braided into them. There was two phases making the American Constitution in the 1780s. America wants a national goverenment. It all started out as the Arictels of Confederation, and it didn't have a very good goverenment stand point from 1781 to 1788. The Constitution came next, and it started to make the goverenment stronger. Baron de Montesquie, a French philosoher, had a impact in the Constitution . When Britain had successes, it started to create tbe separation of powers for the American goverenment. The only one who was not there was Thomas Jefferson and the father of the Constitution, James Madison. There is one more document whch is within the Constitution, which has Enlightenment ideas in it and are told different. The Bill of Rights is the beginning of the Constitution, but it is also a whole different document on its own. The rightof America is to how free everyone is andhow different powers of the goverenment can out rule each other within reason. Volraire also had an impact on the Bill of Rights with the humanities enemies equaling prejudiceand in tolerance within the goverenment. The Bill of Rights has and mentions the freedom of religion, the press, petition, speech, assembly and right to equal justice and right to freedom and security. Bill of Righrs is a document of how much freedom the fore father gave them in the 18th centuryand are still there in the future. The Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights are themost important documents of the United Statewof America, which show the Enlightenment ideology through out them. The documents each repersent a certin period of time madethe United States their owncontent and show Britain we don't needthem to create a countryof out ourown without their help in partly
