How can we use 'either way'?

Hi.

Now I'm trying to understand as below script.

"Well, sometimes the impersonator is a comedian and doing it to be funny. But another reason is that we get the opportunity to meet people who are no longer with us – like Elvis Presley or Marilyn Monroe. Either way, it helps if it's a good impersonation."

At this part, I can't understand exactly what is meaning 'Either way'?

Also, I can almost understand the meaning of this sentence as below
'it helps if it's a good impersonation'
But the grammar does not. Would you let me know how to understand about the grammar?
